The "シマノ正規品判定" app by SHIMANO INC. is designed to scan the 2D barcode label included with the product packaging to determine if the purchased item is genuine. The app supports three languages - Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese, which can be easily switched in the settings menu. It retrieves device location information and unique device data, which is anonymized and masked to ensure user privacy.
To use the app:
(1) Prepare the product packaging and the included 2D barcode label.
(2) Select "2D barcode verification" from the menu.
(3) Scan the 2D barcode label when the camera is activated.
(4) If the product is registered as genuine, you can view past verification instances and the last verification timestamp.
(5) If the product is not registered as genuine, it is recommended to contact the seller for further assistance.
